A proper adjective is a name for a specific person, place, or thing, which is not a word within Toki Pona. While most other languages classify names as nouns, Toki Pona treats them as modifiers for nouns. For example, in the phrase "ma Kanata" (meaning "Canada"), the name "Kanata" is just a modifier that specifies which place ("ma") is being talked about. |
