How does lon mean true?[edit | edit source]

It says powe is an antonym of lon meaning true, but lon means at, in, or on. How would lon mean true? Imacrab (talk) 22:15, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

It means "(be present) at, (be present) in, (be present) on" as a preposition. When it's not a preposition, it has to do with being present, thereby being existant, real, actual. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 23:12, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is described under lon. The logic is that truth describes whether something is real, and something real can be considered to exist at or in someplace. When lon is not used as a preposition, it usually has this meaning. The connection might not be obvious at first, but rest assured that this has been part of the definition from the start and remains in widespread use.
