Template:cite web

From sona pona, the Toki Pona wiki
(Redirected from Template:Cite web)

"{{{title}}}". {{{website}}}.

Documentation[edit source]

This template creates a citation for an online source. You should usually put this template within a <ref /> tag.

<ref>{{cite web |url= <!--|url-status=--> |title= <!--|trans-title= |language=--> |author= |username= |date= |website= |publisher= <!--|archive-url= |archive-date=--> |access-date= |quote=}}</ref>

If the page is not in English, then also translate the title and enter the language's ISO 639 code (for example, fr for French, tok for Toki Pona) into these parameters: |trans-title=|language=

In case the page changes or becomes unavailable later, it is recommended to save an archive of it with the Wayback Machine or archive.is, then add the parameters: |archive-url=|archive-date=

If the page has become unavailable and an archive has been filled in, then set the parameter |url-status= according to the following template data documentation; otherwise, add {{dead link}} directly after this template.

Discord messages require other information; use Template:cite Discord instead.
