Here and now
(Redirected from here)
The concepts of here and now are generally translated as ma ni (lit. 'this place'), tenpo ni (lit. 'this time'), the prepositional phrase lon ni (lit. 'at this'), or the context phrase ni la.
Using ni can be ambiguous because it can refer to another time or place being discussed. For this reason, some speakers prefer other modifiers such as lon, for example in tenpo lon (lit. 'the present time').
poka in the sense of "nearby" can also be used for things that are present, although when used with tenpo, it usually refers to the recent past and future instead of the current moment.
