ilo sitelen (short for ilo sitelen pi toki pona) is a sitelen pona computer terminal created by jan Inkepa (increpare) in 2020. It uses a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, a 5 Waveshare touchscreen, a custom keyboard layout with 3D-printed keycaps, and a cardboard case. It was inspired by jan Sate's ilo nanpa.[1]

Input method[edit | edit source]

Keyboard layout

While working on the terminal, jan Inkepa designed a keyboard that combines letter keys according to the linja pi kute mute writing system, making it small enough to be used with one hand. This is combined with an IME that converts the linja pi kute mute input into sitelen pona. The edges of the keyboard include punctuation marks, a pali modifier key, and arrow keys in an uninverted-T layout, among other text editing keys. The layout is ortholinear apart from the 2u (Return) key.
