r/OffThePu (acronym: OTP) is a subreddit where nimi Elemenopi created and collated proposals for sitelen pona glyphs for words not present or differentiated in the book Toki Pona: The Language of Good (lipu pu). The name is a pun on the phrase "off the wall", inspired by the slogan of Vans.[1] Several of the glyphs proposed on r/OffThePu continue to be used or implemented into fonts, and nimi Elemenopi considers his glyph ideas public-domain.[1]

Adopted glyphs edit

These words are associated with sitelen pona glyphs that nimi Elemenopi created and proposed on the subreddit.[a]

Notes edit

  1. In addition, a glyph associated with nalanja (nalanja) is a homoglyph for the proposal for peta.
  2. Hearts turned to avoid confusion with a scaled glyph for nena olin
  3. Originally also assigned to oke and ke, which are now more associated with other glyphs
  4. Reversed to match kala
  5. Speaker shape simplified from a trapezoid to a triangle
  6. Cap shape changed from an ellipsis; possibly designed separately[citation needed]
