Discuss sona pona:lipu pona

Regarding the latest edit:
It is written in an informative, encyclopedic prose.
(Trying to keep in mind that this is about articles highlighted as lipu pona) I want to argue not against the meaning of this sentence, but against how it might get read: I don't want this place to become one where we can't put together advice that's not completely objective, that leads to "articles like Worldbuilding and ma pona should not exist". I also see in the same edit "opinions should not be stated as facts". I don't think that this is necessarily a factor for articles to be good? Although maybe points could be made clear in a way like "This wiki and its editors unequivocally support trans rights" - still, I don't see why an article that just says "Trans rights are human rights." would be excluded from having a lipu pona status. Just some thoughts. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 22:55, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, worded poorly. Trans rights are human rights. That's fact, not opinion. I should have picked something else. But I am going to bed. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 22:57, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- You're right, very few articles are actually completely objective, because there isn't an objective way to speak toki pona. In my opinion, the goal of this wiki is to create articles that reflect general community census and help learners. What I meant was that articles should be written with a neutral, third person POV, and stuff that only a select group of people agree on should not be written as if most speakers do. Worldbuiding and ma pona (in my opinion) are not written like that. pin't for example is though. It is not neutral and (in my opinion) misleading. I'm not a very skilled editor though, so maybe someone can find a better way to put that. Jan kijetesantakalu (talk) 21:58, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
