Disjunction
Talk
This is a tricky one: jan Kala in particular uses "anu" even to break sentences like "taso", so maybe he should be left out? I don't think it's fair at all to say that whether or not it is possible to use "anu" as a way of forming disjunctions is controversial per se: rather, the uncertainty about how it should be done has meant that it's hardly done at all (I confirmed this by trawling through utala pona winners for examples: many never use it, and the vast majority of the uses, including those who exclusively use it this way, are "anu seme" forms). I think (as a slight reformist soap box) that we actually *do* know how to use "anu" to form disjunctions, and that there are enough examples of its being used to be worth documenting here. ::No, you're right. I'm convinced. There's been a fair amount of back and forth on this page about whether or not it's permitted to use anu this way, but it seems as if that's settled down by now. IWe shallshould edit. == Sentence initial anu ==

Noting for the future: lots of people use anu at the beginning of a sentence without la. That should be documented under experimental usage. JPeton (talk) 12:06, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
