Normative/descriptive wording
Perhaps "a downside of this method" is a slightly biased wording — many either don't see an ambiguity or don't see a problem with it. Perhaps "this sort of sentence is potentially ambiguous, since the word could either be a modifier or a predicate." JPeton (talk) 04:44, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

sitelen pona examples
perhaps we can normalize (not just for this page, but for all pages with toki pona example sentences) having the example sentences be in sitelen pona? with the sp template one can hover over them to see the latin script. I'm not gonna go ahead and change it immediately but I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this, I think it would be a nice change. Lipamanka (talk) 04:16, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

:I think this would be nice, but I personally think we should have the Latin and the sp as separate entries. I'm not really happy with the hovering function, I find it a bit annoying. Additionally, my guess would be that mobile users won't necessarily have the instinct to tap on the sp for a reveal. Better to have it once in sp and once in Latin - it'd be feasible to make an example template that spits out the same sentence in both writing systems if not otherwise indicated. I think I'll make one, even if we don't end up using it. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 09:16, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
:I went ahead and added that. I'm willing to revert my edits / change stuff back if needed. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 11:07, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
::awesome! one note: there shouldn't be periods, they're just not necessary. Lipamanka (talk) 02:24, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
:::Oh yeah, that's due to the text originally in there. I might fix that next week Jan Ke Tami (talk) 17:52, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

mi li
in my opinion, there should be a discussion on the article (of course marked as nonstandard) about the use of "mi li" and "sina li" (maybe bringing up tokiponidos like toki ma? it's not a high priority). I don't know much about this, so I ask for someone else to do so SnpoSuwan (talk) 17:51, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

:Done: mi li and sina li. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 14:08, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
::I've tried to merge back into this article what I could from mi li and sina li, though there are a few interesting points made there that I didn't bring back. Perhaps this should be discussed in a context of "proposed reforms"? Maybe there's a good place to consolidate all these potential beginner mistakes? JPeton (talk) 16:44, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
:::for a proposed reform, mi li and sina li would indeed be a good place for it. SnpoSuwan (talk) 19:18, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

Misconceptions
I generally am not a fan of these sections, and unless somebody has a use for it besides pointing out a mistake in the first series of Misali videos, I propose that it be removed from the article. JPeton (talk) 16:42, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
