I feel comfortable adding jan Pije's updated lessons to these pages, but not everyone will agree. jan Pije's "li" lesson --JPeton (talk) 19:20, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Normative/descriptive wording

Perhaps "a downside of this method" is a slightly biased wording — many either don't see an ambiguity or don't see a problem with it. Perhaps "this sort of sentence is potentially ambiguous, since the word could either be a modifier or a predicate." JPeton (talk) 04:44, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

sitelen pona examples

perhaps we can normalize (not just for this page, but for all pages with toki pona example sentences) having the example sentences be in sitelen pona? with the sp template one can hover over them to see the latin script. I'm not gonna go ahead and change it immediately but I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this, I think it would be a nice change. Lipamanka (talk) 04:16, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think this would be nice, but I personally think we should have the Latin and the sp as separate entries. I'm not really happy with the hovering function, I find it a bit annoying. Additionally, my guess would be that mobile users won't necessarily have the instinct to tap on the sp for a reveal. Better to have it once in sp and once in Latin - it'd be feasible to make an example template that spits out the same sentence in both writing systems if not otherwise indicated. I think I'll make one, even if we don't end up using it. Jan Ke Tami (talk) 09:16, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
