English Wikipedia has an article on
calque.

A calque is a literal, word-for-word translation that is borrowed from another language. Tokiponists generally discourage calques, since their meaning may not be obvious to those unfamiliar with the original phrase. They view various recurring phrases and single-word usages as calques from English.
