o kama sona e toki pona! (lit. was a 'Come to know Toki Pona!')Toki Pona course by jan Pije.
History[edit | edit source]
On 25 July 2003, Knight completed the first version of the o kama sona e toki pona! course.[1] The course was later translated and updated throughout the years. It was the main source of learning Toki Pona[citation needed] until Knight shut his site down in 2020. The website address moved several times, originally from angelfire.com/cantina/tokipona, through geocities.com/tokipona,[2] tokipona.nytka.org,[3] tokipona.esperanto-jeunes.org,[4] and bknight0.myweb.uga.edu/toki,[5] and finally to tokipona.net/tp/janpije.[6]
On 21 August 2020, jan Pije retired his Toki Pona website including the o kama sona e toki pona! lessons, citing issues with "keeping [the site] up-to-date" as well as coding problems that made the site difficult to render on mobile devices and desktops alike. An archive of his materials remain available to download as ZIP files.[7]
