Beyond their main use as a form of writing, {{tp|sitelen pona}} glyphs are also used as non-linguistic symbols and fictional characters. Glyphs for [[animal word]]s are often repurposed as such, to the point of becoming and further inspiring [[mascot]]s of Toki Pona.
