AEI pi toki pona
AEI pi toki pona is an illustrated Toki Pona alphabet chart, originally created by jan Nikita (Nikita Ayzikovsky, possibly the third speaker of Toki Pona) on 19 May 2002.[1] It is a common visual aid, and has become well recognized among Tokiponists.
Usage[edit | edit source]
The chart was included in the pronunciation lesson in jan Pije's course,[2] and in Toki Pona in 76 illustrated lessons.[3]. It was part of the Toki Pona article on Wikipedia from September 2008 to January 2019,[4] prior to being replaced with a cleaner version by Aronora.[when?]
Revisions[edit | edit source]
The chart originally used the name Elena (Ἕλλην, "Greece"), as there were no common content words starting with the letter E before the word esun was created.[when?]
On 20 June 2010, Toki Pona Forums user vincentpistelli created a revision using esun.[5]
Raxicorico created a flat-design version using emoji from the Twemoji library.[when?]
