On 7 May 2007, Marcos Cramer ({{tok|jan Moku}}) requested the language code <code>tok</code>, with additional supporters including Abel Johannes Kiefte ({{tok|jan Mimoku}}), Helmut Voigt ({{tok|jan Elumutu}}), and Marek Blahuš ({{tok|jan Male}}).
