This template is a variant of Template:cite web for citing Telegram messages, based on Template:cite Discord. While all of the parameters for Template:cite web template still work here, this version has more convenient parameters that can be used instead.

If the message is from a channel, replace the group parameter with channel.

To change the word "Message", add this parameter: |message type=

If it is a public group or channel, the message can be archived on the Internet Archive at archive.org. It is recommended that you do so, and add a link to archive.org using the archive-url parameter.
