This is a short style of writing sitelen pona names, designed and experimentally used by jan Sonja. It is similar to nasin sitelen kalama, except that the tally marks are below the glyph and indicate how many letters. It takes up less horizontal space, doesn't require understanding of morae, and allows to take the n from the beginning of a syllable.
