"omekalike" is a pop song by American singer-songwriter jan Usawi, released as their debut single on 3 May 2021.[1] The word omekalike was coined by them, in constrast to omekapo (slang word for "goodbye"), used to mean "good riddance".[2][3][4]

Lyrics Edit

The song talks about a breakup between the singer and a partner and is framed as they singing towards them. The first verse addresses the partner using the imperative, shaming and humiliating them as monsuta lape mi ("my nightmare"), olin pi lon ala ("fake love[r]"), and similar phrases. They go on to denounce them and everything about them.

pali sina li ike.
toki sina li ike.
o moku e kala ike.
pilin sina li ike.
kin la sijelo sina li ike.
o moku e kala ike.

Your work is bad.
The way you talk is bad.
Eat a bad fish.
Your feelings are bad.
Also, your body is bad.
Eat a bad fish.
