This is a list of tokiponized place and language names. In the sections "Place Names" and "Language Names", the book Toki Pona: The Language of Good includes many suggestions for these. However, when a community has chosen another name for itself, it is encouraged to use that name instead.
Place names Edit
Continents Edit
The book Toki Pona: The Language of Good includes suggestions for six continents.
It makes a distinction between the Americas as a continent (ma Amelika), derived from Romance languages, compared with the name of the United States (ma Mewika), often simply called "America". The latter has the characteric English rhotic transcribed as /w/.
Names from smaller subcontinents are not specified, however, the words lete and seli are often used for "north" and "south", as in ma Amelika lete ("North America").[1]
