The Toki Pona Bible Project (Lipu Sewi Pi Toki Pona) is an effort to translate the Bible into Toki Pona, covering the Old and New Testaments, as well as apocrypha.

The project was started on November 13, 2022 by jan Kupa (@kuba.konsi on Discord). As of February 3, 2024, 874 out of 38 450 verses (2.3%) have been translated.[1]

A podcast called lipu kalama Sona Sewi features dramatic readings of the works. The first episode was released on September 23, 2023 for the Book of Jonah, the first fully translated book.[2]

Methodology

While translators may base their work off of any translation, proofreaders check the results against the Hebrew and Greek versions.
