The word walo is derived from Finnish valko-, the combining form of valkoinen, meaning "white".[1]

Semantic space Edit

The semantic space of walo includes pale or light colors. While walo and suno can both be translated as "light", they mean different things. suno refers to light itself, and may modify and describe objects that emit light. On the other hand, walo refers to the lightness of a color alone.
