Book presence
Book presence refers to whether a feature of Toki Pona is present or absent in the official books. It usually specifies which book the feature is first attested in, lipu pu or lipu ku, as a rough indicator of era.

Words are often categorized as nimi pu, nimi ku suli, and nimi ku lili (as well as nimi su for the word su). The Linku usage categories were created to track changing usage since the publication of ku.
