This is a short style of writing [[sitelen pona]] names, designed and experimentally used by [[jan Sonja]]. It is similar to [[nasin sitelen kalama]], except that the tally marks are below the glyph and indicate how many letters. It takes up less horizontal space, doesn't require understanding of morae, and allows to take the n from the beginning of a syllable.

Because the tally marks are small, compact, and not generally {{w|Tally marks#Clustering|clustered}} (as in 𝍸), groups of more than 2 or 3 marks may be difficult to count. By using sufficiently many phonemes from one glyph or adjacent glyphs, grouping might break down. That is, it may become difficult to tell which tally marks belong to which glyphs. Reading speed may also be slower than using morae.

The system also has several limitations and points of criticism in common with the earlier {{tp|nasin sitelen kalama}}, such as ambiguous readings for certain glyphs such as {{sps|ale}} ({{tp|ale}} or {{tp|ali}}).

nasin sitelen kalama pi linja lili (lit. 'small-lines sound writing method') is an experimental short style of writing sitelen pona names, designed and proposed by jan Sonja in late February 2024.[1]

In this system, tally marks are written across the cartouche line below each glyph, indicating the number of phonemes (or, equivalently, letters of their sitelen Lasina spelling) to pronounce. For one-letter words, one or no tally mark can be written.
