sitelen Lasina majuna (SITELEN LASINA MAIVNA) is a joke writing system that adapts sitelen Lasina to resemble old inscriptions. It pairs well with pre-pu words like majuna itself.

Conversion rules from sitelen Lasina

1. All letters are uppercase, and written with serifs where feasible—ideally set in Trajan.
   To help distinguish this, all other text in this article is set in sans-serif type. It is recommended to do the same if you are mixing languages or writing systems.
   Unicode characters that are specified as serif, like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols, can interfere with screen readers, so adjust your definition of "feasible" with this in mind.
2. k becomes C.
3. j merges with i, becoming I.
4. u becomes V, with w either merging or becoming VV.

For example, kijetesantakalu is written as CIIETESANTACALV. The start of the word even resembles the tail of the word's sitelen pona glyph (kijetesantakalukijetesantakalu).

Minuscule form

An alternative form exists. It can be called sitelen Lasina maiuna lilj (LILI), with the all-caps form contrasted as sitelen Lasina maiuna sulj (SVLI). Unfortunately, Trajan has no true lower case, so it is unsuitable for this version.

1. All letters are written with serifs where feasible.
2. k becomes c.
3. i and j merge, becoming j word-finally, and i otherwise.
4. u, and possibly w, becomes v word-initially, and u otherwise.

For example, utala li ike becomes vtala lj ice.

Benefits

One significant benefit of sitelen Lasina majuna suli, compared to modern sitelen Lasina, is that lawa becomes LAVA.

Both forms of sitelen Lasina majuna are also advantageous for humans named Ian.

Number system

You can create a horrible number system by reading phonotactically valid Roman numerals as words written in this script.

Of course, because the letters *X (10) and *D (500) do not exist in Toki Pona, only I (1) and V (5) can be vowels or consonants, syllable structure is constrained, and *ji and *wu are disallowed, numbers often have to be written differently than in standard Roman numerals.

Wherever a numeral is between two larger numerals, subtraction from the following numeral takes priority.

In addition to the letters used in modern-style Roman numerals, the historical fraction S (½) is available. N (0) can be used in sequences; any string of numerals before it is subtracted from it, and thus negative.

The system can be extended with nonstandard numerals. With the addition of O (11), T (160), E (250), P (400), and A (500), every phonetically standard word can be used as a number. Additionally, the use of K (151) removes the need to convert sitelen Lasina letters k before calculating, giving a different result.

Adding Y (150) and G (also 400) makes every nimi ku except CALAMARR a valid number word, as no numeral *R is attested. For example, PINGO is 10, and YVPEKOSI is 957.5.
