From sona pona

In addition to the well-known 120 words, pu lists the following 3 words as "synonyms":

    • kin as a synonym of a
    • namako as a synonym of sin
    • oko as a synonym of lukin

Those words were in use at the time of publishing, but with different meanings to their supposed relatives. Calling them "synonyms" was a deliberate attempt to merge them.[1] However, ku has determined that the words have retained their separate meanings, at least among the people who use them.
