Onomatopoeia is a type of word that describes a sound of an object. Toki Pona: The Language of Good lists the following onomatopoeia:
- a (treating kin as a synonym, which did not catch on)
- mu
Most onomatopoeic words in Toki Pona have the exclamation radical (vertical or diagonal line) in their sitelen pona glyph, although the word o, which also has the radical, is not an onomatopoeia.
