kana is a marginal content word relating to unreal imagery.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The word kana is derived from Tulu ಕನ (kana), meaning "dream". It was coined by ilo Powa in 2022.
Semantic space[edit | edit source]
The semantic space of kana includes dreams; altered states of consciousness, such as trance, hypnosis, and hallucination; illusions; and fiction, such as stories and myth.[1] The common theme is things that may appear to be real, including mental states that cause them.
According to Linku, kana "[s]erves as a non-deprecated, neutral-connotation, and polysemous variant of words like oni, powe, or jume." kana's semantic space most likely encompasses all of theirs.
nasin ni o kama sijelo e kananasin ni o kama sijelo e kana.[2]
This is how I will (lit. this method will) make my dreams physical.
sitelen pona[edit | edit source]
