Etymology[edit | edit source]

sitelen pona[edit | edit source]

The sitelen pona glyphs for melome (melome) and mijomi (mijomi) are derive from the glyphs for meli and mije, respectively, with the head radical being replaced with the glyph for olin. In melome, the radical for olin is inverted upside-down to avoid confusion with nena olin. They were designed by nimi Elemenopi in July 2020.[1][2]
