sole is a marginal content word relating to patterns, habits, and constancy.

Etymology

The word sole is derived from Spanish soler, meaning "to do habitually, to tend to (do something), used to". It was coined by waso Netun in 2022.[citation needed]

Semantic space

The semantic space of sole includes constancy, unchangedness, unaffectedness, and patterns. This includes patterns of behavior such as instincts, habits, and tendencies.

According to Linku, sole may specifically "refer to a state prior to a kama", as in the (be)coming of a new quality. sole can also describe the lack of effect by an event that should conceivably cause change.

sitelen pona

The sitelen pona glyph for sole resembles an ampersand, with the bottom part of the curve replaced with an arrowhead before it can cross itself.[1]
