Etymology
The word sutopatikuna is derived from Croatian čudnovati kljunaš, literally meaning "strange beak". It was coined by Alexandre Baudry as an April Fools' joke in 2009.[1]
Pronunciation
This word breaks Toki Pona's phonotactics by having the disallowed syllable *ti. Some speakers instead pronounce it with the syllable si to overcome this.
