Etymology[edit | edit source]
The word leko is derived from the name of the Danish toy company Lego, itself derived from Danish leg godt, meaning "play well".[1] Another possibility, according to nimi ale pona, is that it is derived from Finnish lohko, meaning "section, block".[2]
Semantic space[edit | edit source]
The semantic space of leko includes objects with a square or cube shape. Examples include blocks, bricks, stairs, and corners.
