Etymology
The word pimeja is derived from Finnish pimeä, meaning "black".[1]
Semantic space
The semantic space of pimeja includes black and dark colors, as an antonym to walo ("white, pale"). It may to the lack of illumination, such as darkness, shadows, unlit spaces, as an antonym of suno ("bright").
